...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO EARLY
WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...West Fork of The Calcasieu River at Sam Houston Jones SP.

* WHEN...From late tonight to early Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 5.0 feet, Low spots on South Perkins Ferry Road have
water on it. Water is over some boat docks on South Perkins Ferry
Road and over boat ramps at Sam Houston Jones State Park.
Extensive marshland flooding will occur upstream and downstream
from the park.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 5:50 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 4.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a crest of 5.5 feet Saturday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday
morning.
- Flood stage is 5.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Calcasieu River near Salt Water Barrier.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 5.5 feet, Access roads including River Road in North
Lake Charles and Mims Road in Westlake become impassable to some
vehicles. In addition flooding of roads along the West Fork of the
Calcasieu can be expected. Including South Perkins Ferry Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 2.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 5.5 feet
Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 4.0 feet.

Calcasieu River from the Saltwater Barrier to the parish line may
be closed to recreational boat traffic.

- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:35 AM CDT Thursday was 3.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 4.2

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Sabine River near Deweyville.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding will occur. The
lowest homes between Deweyville and the river begin to flood,
especially in the Indian Lakes and River Oaks sections. Low-lying
roads and a few homes in Southwestern Beauregard Parish have some
flooding. County Road 4130 and River Oaks Road are closed in
Newton County around Deweyville.  Bass Lake, Alligator Park,
Wright, Jimmy Doyle and Steward Roads are flooded in Calcasieu
Parish.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 24.8 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 AM CDT Thursday was 24.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 25.7
feet tomorrow evening.
